A new departure for us ... at Leigh on Sea Folk Festival, on Sunday 29th June at 7.15 pm, we will be providing the backing vocals for Roy Mette's set at the Peter Boat. It's a group of his own songs on the theme of Pirates. Don't imagine for a moment that he takes a romantic view of them, he doesn't: there is something dark at the heart of the Caribbean. Why not go to Roy's myspace site to get a flavour.
While we were out ... or, at least, going through our change of operating system (compounded by Certain Persons managing to lock themselves — and us — out of their own server!) you may have caught us either at Havering Folk Club (now at Romford's magnificent Golden Lion) or in Elmhurst Park, Woodbridge for the Suffolk Folk Festival. Brief reviews to come ...
Still working on the album, slower than we would have liked, what with colds and flu intruding. But, we carry on: only the last three songs to record and then the mixing. How hard can it be, when there are only three human voices to work with? Tell you later!
